Effects of Marijuana on Pregnancy

Studies have found that babies born to mothers who used marijuana for the duration of pregnancy were smaller than those born to mothers who did not make use of the drug. On the whole, smaller babies are more probable to develop health problems. A nursing mother who makes use of marijuana passes some of the THC to the baby in her breast milk. Study pointed out that the use of marijuana by a mother through the first month of breast-feeding can make worse the infant's motor growth (control of muscle movement).
